This is the first classic wood dinghy specifically designed to take a 2hp outboard motor. The keel is straight giving the boat a planing bottom. The wider, thicker transom will support a 30-35lb outboard motor. This dinghy is stable, seaworthy, handsome and light weight (50-55lbs). Construction is okoume marine plywood planking glued with epoxy so it will not leak a drop. All other parts of the boat are cedar for light weight and longevity. Three bench seats, one pair of oars, a boweye, oarlocks and a motor pad to protect the transom make for a complete package.
The 8' motor dinghy is designed and built to be a beautiful, strong and long lasting classic wood dinghy for the yachtsman who wants a tender to compliment his fine yacht.
